Your address is a lock everyone can see
Your private key is the combination. Today's computers would need billions of years to work it out from the lock alone. That's why crypto works.
Solana · post-quantum readiness
Every ordinary Solana address is its public key, in plain view. A powerful enough quantum computer could one day work backwards from it to the secret key. Paste any address and see what sits behind it.
Read-only. No wallet connection, nothing to sign, so you can check any address.
Crypto wallets are locks. Today's locks are excellent against today's computers. A different kind of machine changes the arithmetic.

None is strong enough yet, and nobody knows when one will be: maybe years, maybe never. The day it happens is called Q-Day.
Hash-based locks rely on maths quantum computers are bad at. Each combination works once, so funds move to a fresh lock every time they're spent.
"Exposed" describes readiness, not danger today. No quantum computer can do this yet, and Solana has a plan to move to post-quantum signatures when it's needed.
QAULT Vault keeps SOL behind one-time hash-based keys and moves your funds to a fresh key every time you spend. Try it now on devnet with test SOL. It goes live only after an independent audit.
